Why do respondents
support 1000 Friends? "It works to ensure our
quality of life." "It's neither and both liberal and conservative."
"I want Florida to grow right." "It cares about Florida--all

What general
comments did respondents have about 1000 Friends? "The
organization needs to get more newspaper and TV exposure."
"Be careful not to spread yourself too thin." "Continue
to take legal action against local governments that vote to degrade
our natural resources."
What was
the reaction to our revised newsletter design? "Looks
good!" "Lots of information, easy reading."
What did
respondents want more of in our newsletters? Soil and
water conservation districts, population, environmental work being
done in Florida cities, future goals and concerns of 1000 Friends
of Florida, relevant court cases, and more on historic preservation
and economic development were some of the responses.
