Paynes Prairie

Friends of Paynes Prairie State Preserve is a 21,000 acre unit of the Florida Park Service. The preserve is located in north central Florida just south of Gainesville. It is a National Natural Landmark and has a national reputation for it's abundance and diversity of wildlife. North central Florida offers a diverse mix of outdoor recreational activities all of which are only a few hours from the preserve.
